1. Training: Take acting classes and workshops to build your skills and confidence. This will also help you network with industry professionals. There are hundreds of thousdands of people competing for a few spots on TV. You must practice your craft like a professional.

2. Research: Identify the type of roles you are interested in and the casting directors or agents who specialize in those types of roles.

3. Headshots: Get professional headshots taken, as they are essential for submitting to casting calls and agents. Casting Directors will see your headshots and Reels when you submit to an audition. You do not need to spend big dollars on headshots… but they ARE very important.

4. Resume: Create a detailed resume that highlights your acting experience, training, and any special skills relevant to the industry. You will want to add past credits in TV/Film/Theater and places you have studied acting.

5. Build a Reel: Compile a demo reel showcasing your best acting work. If you don’t have footage, consider creating short films or scenes to demonstrate your talent.
